holiday card project(in memory of Delton brown)

What is a holiday card project? the purpose of the holiday card project  is to create holiday card for people who are hospitalize during the holiday season. the idea behind  the project is to simply try to bring a little cheer to those who are  under hospital stay.

Exactly who receive the cards? the cards will be distributed to both U.S and international hospitals the cards will be delivered in person by a representative. the patient who receives the cards age in range from children to seniors and have illness or injures that vary from mild to internal.

what should I write in the card?  Be as creative as you'd like. just remember the degree of illness for patients will vary, so it is important to be cheerful. some suggested greeting include, ''hope you feel better'' , thinking of you'' or have a nice day'' . try to stay away from ''get well soon'' as it might not be appropriate for all patients. remember to include a message of happy Holidays''.

will the patient know who sent the card?  the only way a patient will know who  the card is from is if you sign your name. if you would like to send your card anonymously, ,you may.

Can I send More Than One:  Absolutely! however, remember that quality is better than quantity sending one quality card that you put time and effort into is better than sending two cards that were thrown together.

Is there a specific size or medium for the card? There is no specific size for the cards. use your best judgement you can design and decorate cards by drawling, coloring or painting. you can use glitter, constructing paper, card board markers, crayons ,colored pencils ,ribbons etc. to make your card special. you can also design your card using  photoshop. in photo shop please use 4x6 or 5x7 for dimentions

geography

Much of this year has been spent writing Python code for a Rental Inspection Program for the City of Sacramento. I have developed a series of Python scripts that I manually start that creates several files for a 3rd party hosted application. The scripts I write process existing and new SDE feature classes (this is an experience in itself). I have learned a lot through this process:- Creating SDE table views (very cool way to process large quantities of data, but somewhat difficult to track bugs)- Finding bugs that a programmer would assume would be caught. For example, non-existent field mappings not being picked up through exception tracebacks- Still in wonder why my SDE Table views to Feature Class processes don't want to transfer all the data in the table view to my output feature class.Overall, my application development has proved worthy for the Code Enforcement Dept, since the data I am creating serves as the fundamental data for the citywide Rental Inspection Program. For this project I have developed:1. Python scripts to process the data2. Develop a 5 year priority plan based on census tracts (all GIS Analysis based)3. Create maps and templates to use for field maps and status maps.

African proverb #7

Knowledge is like a garden, if it is  not cultivated, it can not be harvested.
I think that the proverb means that knowledge is like a garden and the things in a garden meaning that u got to take care of your garden meaning your mind/your knowledge you have to let it expand  by studying and reading. Its like water to a garden if you water it, eventually it would grow into a beautiful garden.

What it means when it says that it cant be harvested it means that you can not  gather your mind you can expand it but ,you cannot pick your mind and you cannot pick your mind  and serve it. it means  that  in order for your mind to grow/ or expand you have to study and read and work at it.

African proverb #6

A person who knows proverbs can reconcile differences!
I think that the proverb means that the  proverb means that when you know  a lot of proverbs that you would be able to solve many different problems that might happen in the future and that you will be able to solve it before it gets out of hand.

And  i also think that the proverb means that you are a problem solver and that you know how to stop different problems when they happen or that means that  you can also stop them so that they won't happen and just have peace, and ever thing would be cool.

African proverb #5

A fool speaks, the wise person listen.
I think  the African proverb means  that you are a fool  when you speak when someone is trying to talk and you don't get all the information that you was suppose to get but you was talking to the person talking to you   instead of doing what you are suppose to do.

And   it means that the wise man/or women will listen to what she/he needs to listen to and not mess around. and they do what they have to do and they get the information they need to do what they have to work on or what they got to do.

african proverb 4

I think that it is better to be loved then feared  because when you are feared people would not want to be around you or even look at you. When you are loved you are going to have lots of friends  who like you cause of you and not because they are scared of you. when they are scared of you they are only hanging around with you because they fear you. So it would be better for people to just like for who you are and not just being around you because you told them to hang around you cause there scared of you.

You could use this in your every day life because in real life there are going to be some times when you are going to want someone to be your friend and you might think that they are going to want to be. so you might use fear as another option.  When you do that they are not going to really like you for who your are.

Extra Cash

If I had an extra 100,000 and I had to give it away I would have to give it to a pet instead  of an person or and orginization.  And the person I  am giving the money to can not spend a dime of it on me at all .  So I would give it to a animal so if i can't spend it or cant get none of it at  all.  I'd give it to a animal it would not be able to spend it unless I go out to the pet store and get it.

I would give it to a animal because  they can not spend it unless I go out and get it for them. and if I give it to a animal it  would be basicly like I am keeping the money because animals and pets do not really want anything at all but food, water, or milk if it is a cat, something to play with to keep them occupied   and not get bored. So that is why I would give it to a pet.

I think that  because it might  maybe stand for you getting your education before you try to do any thing in life.  I think that you should get you education sense D.R Martin Luther King  died for us to be able to get an education.  If you do not  have knowledge to get you far in life, and you would just be on the streets selling Drugs.

08/09 school year

I believe that my goals for the school year is to get on the ball and behave myself  and get good grades this year. no i did not accomplish my goals last year. what i did wrong is I  was acting up  and not behaving myself. The benefits of attending New Media Technology  Charter School is that u have to behave and not act up.

I think  the subject that i was weakest at was math , Because i did not get it at all as well has i should have. My strongest subject last year was Computer Science. and I say that because it got it ,and i under stood it when Mathura Latoya would teach it to us. I think that i could have did better than i did . Last year I did not work up to my full potential  last year and i should have.
